Overview

What is Divi Protect

Divi Protect lets you hide a Divi layout behind a password. You design that layout as a Protect Section, then place it on any page with the Divi Protect module or a shortcode. Visitors see a password form until they unlock the section.

Divi 5 first

Divi 5 first: This site documents Divi 5 first. Add the module from the Visual Builder folder Divi Protect. Its picker label is Divi Protect. Divi 4 setup guides stay under Modules → Divi 4.

The same plugin runs on Divi 5 and Divi 4. Protect Sections, passwords, cookies, and form text are set in WordPress and apply on either builder. On Divi 5, choosing Divi Editor on a Protect Section opens the builder for that section only, without the site header and footer.

Key capabilities

  • Protect Sections — The hidden layout, plus the password, cookie, form text, and form styles.
  • Divi Protect module — Choose which Protect Section appears on a page.
  • Shortcode — Paste the section’s unique shortcode in a Code module when you are not using the Divi Protect module.
  • Who can skip the password — Logged-in visitors, selected roles, or members of a Divi Membership plan.
  • Divi Nitro — Unlock cookies skip the page cache, so a locked page and an unlocked page are not mixed.
