Repeater / Table / Tabs

Divi 5 module

Repeater/Table/Tabs repeats nested Custom Field Item modules (or a Divi Library loop layout) for each row of a repeater-style field—most often ACF Pro Repeater. Display modes include grid, list, table, tabs, and accordion.

Overview

Use Repeater on single templates and loop cards when one post stores multiple related sub-fields (specs, FAQs, team members, and so on). Deeper recipes: ACF Repeater, Repeater table, tabs, accordion.

How to use the Repeater module

  1. Create an ACF Pro Repeater (or supported repeater-shaped field) and assign it to the post type.
  2. Add Repeater/Table/Tabs to the layout.
  3. Set Repeater Name to the repeater field key.
  4. Choose Repeater Field Style (grid, list, table, tabs, accordion, or custom loop layout).
  5. Add Custom Field Item children for each sub-field (or pick a Repeater Loop Layout for full card control).
  6. Configure grid/table/tabs/accordion options for the style you chose.

Main settings

Repeater Name

Select or enter the repeater field key. Choose the field before loading subfields for Custom Field Items.

Custom Field From

Where the repeater lives: Default (current post), User Field, Current Taxonomy, or other supported sources.

Repeater Field Style

How rows render: grid of Custom Field Items, comma-separated list, table, tabs, accordion, or a full custom loop layout.

Custom Field Item Repeat Style

When using Custom Field Item children, choose grid vs list-style separation and the List Separator (with optional spacing around the separator).

Repeater Type

Premade repeater styles vs custom loop layout for full Visual Builder control per row.

Repeater Loop Layout / Loop Layout Settings

Pick a Divi Library layout for each repeater row when using custom loop layout. Tabs/accordion can also use a body loop layout.

Grid Options

Grid Columns, Grid Gap, and Custom Gutter Width when the style is grid-oriented.

Table Settings

Table-oriented options for basic fields, including Make Links/Files as buttons.

Tabs / Accordion Settings

  • Tabs/Accordion Header Text and Header HTML Tag (H1–H6, div, span)
  • Tabs/Accordion Body (loop layout) when the body should use a Library layout

Custom Field Items

Add Custom Field Item children (Add New Custom Field Item). Each child should target a sub-field of the selected repeater. See Custom Field Item.

Design

Typography and colors for labels, values, table headers/rows, tabs, accordion toggles/icons, and buttons. Use Design for Machine-specific chrome; Advanced for CSS/visibility.

Pitfalls and limits

  • Requires a real repeater field with saved rows; empty repeaters output nothing.
  • Nested Custom Field Items must use sub-field keys, not the parent repeater key alone.
  • After Divi 5 migration, re-save Divi Library layouts that contain Repeater if you see raw shortcodes—see Divi 5 Migration Tool.
